082 ROB FUSARI: “The Man Behind the Hits”

He discovered Lady Gaga. He wrote “No, No, No”, the monstrous #1 single that launched Destiny’s Child. He’s worked with Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Will Smith, Jessica Simpson and a host of chart toppers. A two-time Grammy-winning producer and music executive, Rob Fusari has been featured as one of Billboard magazine’s Top 10 songwriters in the world.

“When I heard my first song on the radio, I realized I was part of something bigger. That’s what we all want.”

When Rob turned his laser-sharp focus on Stefani Germanotta, Lady Gaga was born. “I wanted to find an artist. I didn’t feel confident enough then to hit the stage myself, so I looked for two years. She blew me away the minute she hit that piano and that voice poured out.” Today on BOLD, Rob shares the behind-the-scenes juice that made Gaga an international phenomenon.

Performing as Cary Nokey, Rob is now his own muse. “It’s never about money. There’s nothing greater than doing something you love and following your passion. I found that in music. There was never a Plan B.”

“Do Ya” by Cary Nokey has been selected as the theme song for RuPaul’s “Condragulations” Battle of the Seasons tour. His site is www.carynokey.com. Join the conversation at www.getboldtoday.com
