074 WENDY MICHAELS: “God, Love and Elephants”

Actress and animal activist Wendy Michaels has a big love for life–and elephants. “Elephants have the same emotional lives as humans. Elephants in captivity are a metaphor for the captivity in our own lives.”

This BOLD conversation is about taking giant leaps in your life to follow your dreams. How do you set goals and achieve them? Wendy and LeGrande discuss:

· Setting goals on a realistic schedule
· The effectiveness of vision boards and treasure maps
· How to activate your compassionate heart through service

“I decided to move forward and pursue my career in acting. The first role I got was in a play—wait for it–‘Aspirin and Elephants.’”

“One of my goals in life is to free captive elephants. Right now, I’m focused on saving Nosey the Elephant.” Find out more about Wendy’s mission and activities at www.wendymichaels.net. Join the conversation at www.getboldtoday.com.

I know it seems like it makes sense given the poaching that is taking place. I always turn to the experts in the field for education. Read this article which can explain my position much better than I could. Thanks for your reply.

Zoo’s were started as education of a wider world, no? Now with video capabilities, that seems like not such a good idea. With poaching the way it is, it sounds like a good idea.
