120 ALAN SEPINWALL: “The Legacy of Mad Men”

It’s the end of an era. Today on BOLD, we’ve got the ultimate insider scoop on Mad Men. Alan Sepinwall, one of America’s most celebrated TV critics, joins us to discuss tidbits from his exclusive interview with show creator Matthew Weiner.

“The impression I got was (Weiner) is not really sure how people are going to react to the finale,” Alan says. “I’m not saying Don Draper is going to order onion rings and the screen cuts to black but.…”

From fashion to cultural shifts to favorite plot lines, Alan and LeGrande explore the rich nuances of this iconic series. “I think the show was at its strongest when dealing with gender politics and the rise of feminism,” says Alan. “Some of the marriage subplots–not so much.”

The author of “The Revolution Was Televised”, Alan writes the wildly popular “What’s Alan Watching” column at www.hitfix.com. You can also follow him on Twitter @sepinwall.Join the conversation at www.getboldtoday.com.
