Meet Lil Oiive, the scrappy puppy mill survivor who sparked a movement. Documented with heartwarming video, her rescue and nurturing by Pam Horton is the subject of A Voice for Lil Olive. “She spent over 15 years locked up and abused, her frail body broken in so many ways,” says Pam. “But not her heart. Never her heart.”
The documentary explores the special bond between pets and their families, and how rescued dogs change lives. The film’s mission is to make people aware of and to change attitudes about rescued pets through the telling of Lil Olive’s tale. The film’s website is www.avoiceforlilolive.com. I am also a facebook follower, and have been for years. I wish I could have known Olive and the girls, but I live in a different part of their world. Pam and the girls are an inspiration. I was heartbroken when Olive passed away. I listened to her posts over and over again, especially the first one as “Angel Olive”. I just could not believe or accept that she was gone. I also donated to this documentary, and however small donations are, they matter. Can’t wait to see the documentary. <3
Thank you “BOLD” for this interview with Pam and Tom for A Voice for Lil’Olive. I am a facebook follower and I share and donate to this documentary. I never got to hold Lil’Olive but nonetheless I was “OLIVED” through facebook. She graps your heart and makes it better. She inspires me on facebook everyday to be a kinder, gentler more loving person…and forgiving. I lovey yous.
